Christmas party :)

On January Vilma K:
-and rest of the "party girls" got the whole Atlantis to go crazy when singing Mamma mia! What a night ;)
-had quite a fun workday with just 3½hours of sleep last night, and her boss thought she was drunk..8) NEVER again!
On February Vilma K:
-had pretty much a perfect weekend! Saturday night Moomies+vaapukkamehua, Sunday morning a xc skiing trip on a lake :))
-is cold, colder, Finland..hrrr :S
-skied a little, saw some ice sculptures, had an adventure in a snow castle and ate a lot of laskiaismättöä =)
On March:
-went xc skiing in the morning =) then fed a pony to a boa and is now jumping to a frozen lake :D
-a snow storm and a killer practice!
-had quite an adventurous trip to Lahti-city, that included a car crash and lots of bubbles. And the spring is coming..finally? :)
On April:
-dollars, presents, sledding, weight lifting, and Tiina's sauna =)
-and the USA is calling!!!
-hates driving and sunburned skin, but loves beach and The Atlantic Ocean<3 FUN DAY!
On May Vilma K:
-and a rather cold picnic..:D
-saw a real american schoolbus here in Tampere! ♥ :oo
-and the smell of the summer ♥Pitkä kuuma kesä tonight.
-'s foot :s and she just came home and the sun is already rising 8) gotta love the summer of Finland!<3
On June:
-was coaching kids, did pole vault and hammer :'D (among the orher things), didn't sleep enough, saw her friends, enjoyed this lovely summer weather of Finland, and HAD SO MUCH FUN at the Track Camp!!!!! :)
-was scouting. o__O Made lunch and dinner for girl scouts in the middle of the woods
-went wild at Hervanta. Was playing at the chinese playground, a random guy recited poetry for her, and she ended up to the lake.
-was splashing happily in the morning con las chicas, almost drowned her dogs, now track practice for kiddos, mmmm summer is finally here :))
-is packing for Galapagos. 0.9 points
On July:

On August:
-kuumottelu, kiinnostuskiikarit, viivat..ja unohti missä suunnassa koti onkaan 8D

On September Vilma K did nothing intresting :D
On October:
-kiersi maapallon 80 päivässä! tunsi agricolamaista riemua ja viimein joutui juoksemaan hyytelöjaloillaan Natashaa karkuun
On November:
-niin periaatteessahan siellä oli 2 ylimääräistäkin sänkyä, mutta läheisyys lämmittää. Kuortane <3
On December:
-etelänmatkaili, crazybailasi ja linjuriautoili maantien ässällä. Oli niin ihqu-uu!
-reppanoi ja keräsi sääliviä katseita aamutuimaan, nyt "ahkeroi" vielä muutaman tunnin ja sitten home sweet home!

It was a rather good year :) let's hope year 2010 is at least as good as 2009 and I HOPE from the bottom of my heart that couple of things would happen!!! (no more about that..ha :D) PEACE AND LOVE EVRYONE <3

piparin tuoksua tonttujen juoksua sitäkö joulu on?

A little tear fell down today at church when the first graders performed at the school's christmas festival. ANDDDD that means HOLIDAYSSSSSSSSS!!!! Oh wait. No it does not, not for me. YAY. -______- I still have to go to work tomorrow (I'm the only one there) thanks to työkkäri (one pretty shitty institution, may I say). I'm so incrediply tired and I have no motivation for anything, luckily tomorrow afternoon = home sweet home :)



During this break I'll be sleeping!, skiing and ice skating :),probably eating too much (what is Christmas w/o puffed feeling??) , working ---, hopefully sledding andandAND.. . Lets just hope I make it to Tampere, since there's gonna be an intense snow storm tomorrow. Not looking forward to that, with 2 miles to walk in the morning and HEAVY bags and already existing huge snow drifts.

I absolutely hate backing. HATE !!! ugh. This is how it goes: take out a bag like 2 days before, but do nothing until the very last minute. Panic back, go thru your apartment/room and throw into the back THAT and that and THAT TOO and that might be useful and this I HAVE to have. Your bag is full. Zip it up. Be pleased with yourself..until. You realize you forgot something really essential (like all the gifts) and they don't fit. Unback everything and start all over again. Do this whole thing about five times. Then finally just give up and do lots of sacrifices ("yeah I think I have pants at home, if I don't I can borrow mamas" "I remeber seeing my old running shoes there..and hopefully they haven't thrown away my toothbrush"...)And then cry in the morning that your bags weight too much and you'll never be able to make it to work, not in time at least.

Better news, yesterday was the shortest day of the year and NOW we are (slowly) starting to get some light =) only like 5 months and THIS:

I feel like I'm complete now. Like how awesome is this? I was just reading the blog "1000 awesoe things" and the numbers 623 "The sound of snow crunching under your boots" and 620 "Singing the songs you just heard on the way home from the concert" TOUCHE! They aptly decribe yesterday. AKNÖIUHEGFVSNBCÖEKFÖWEKLÅ I'm going bananas, yesterday was perfect! Antti Tuisku @ Mikkeli :)) mmmmmmm, he is so incrediply hotttttt and I felt I was that 15-year-old girl I used to be going to A.T's concert and screaming my lungs out ;) haha it was fun! One of the songs also made me cry, I was trying to hold back the whole song and then this part came and I just couldn't any longer "näen huolen vanhempien kasvoilta, ne toivoo että seisoisin omilla jaloilla, ja vakuutan mä kyllä pärjään, tää on mun elämää, päivääkään en vaihtais toiseen". And then while walking back home (it's a shitty walk, only 30 minutes but you get your whole body to shiver uncontrollably with cold and you just hope the whole time you coul've been born to hawai) I was singning that song and thinking about my life, I came to a conclusion that even tho lots of things have gone "wrong" this year yet at the end they have payed off and turned out to be good decisions (at least now I feel like it). And while singing and thinking my boots were making that incredibly relaxing sound of crunching snow, AND one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen were in front of my eyes! Finland is exquisite on winter nights: -13F, clear air, silence, black sky with bright stars (and if you're lucky with northern lights), white-crystal-shiny world, the smell of the frost, and the sound of the snow and ice ♥ I'm a happy camper (:



Just one thing, I still don't have that magical back-to-the-childhood christmas feeling. Not even tho it's white and beautiful out, I've already bought all the gifts, I don't have school until January 11th (except for couple of essays etc) and just few days of work, and we are just singing carols etc at work and let me tell you before that used to bring me the feeling of the up coming Christmas :( AM I GROWING UP OR WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME, this ain't no fun?! Hopefully I'll find it when I travel back home and see my family especially my sis (!!! (: ) and grandma.

p.s I was just gonna go ice skating but had second thoughts while I stepped out. NO CAN DO. good excuse to say in all day and do absolutely nothing, heheee : D (I feel so lazyyyyyy)

MUHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH yeah, life sometimes surprises me. I got 47/50 from my english essay that was "predominantly BS'ing" (quoting myself) like wtf, I thought the content was.....well there was really no content :D I was repeating myself the whole time. But I won't complain.

Spanish is billion times harder to learn in finnish than in english. I never get any of the words in finnish :( We just had a spanish comprehension "test" and haha I was supposed to write "sininen kenkä" instead I wrote "sininen kengä" (kenkä-shoe, kengät-shoes, but kengä-nothing) and I also did some other really stupid finnish mistakes. Oh lord, how can I ever learn any other language when I can't even master my native language? btw. rangaista or rankaista which one is correct???

I just saw probably the funniest school's christmas party ever :D I laughed so hard my abbs were hurting haha. Thanks KN09 at MAMK :)

If you've ever wondered how it feels to be in deep freeze, right about now would be a pretty good time to visit Finland. It took me 3 hours yesterday to unfreeze various parts of my body even tho I had two pants on etc. (see the picture, I look like the michelin man)
A story from this morning: It took me about half an hour to put on all the clothes I needed just to stay alive outside. The second I step outside my whole face freezes to numb, and after a little while walking I can't feel my fingers. Then after few minutes or so I notice my hair being like a giant icicle of course white-colored. It's also a pretty unpleasant feeling when your nostrils and eyelashes freeze (it also looks amaaaazing when your lashes melt inside, no need to mention that I did not have a waterproof mascara). Then while I get to school three (3) kids come to me telling they put their tongue to a metal pole. Well you can imagine the rest. I can tell from a first hand experience that it HURTS to tear off your tongue from the freaking pole, and it's pretty bloody too, literally. And it's only getting colder, can't wait!

Vilma K travelled to south. Oh mein gotttt. Besides getting sunburned and tan and almost killed by a busrider, I also got an eye opening experience. I fell in love, once again, with A.T's music.
For clarification I travelled to Lahti-city (which is 129 km to south). I crazydanced. A lot. Steps for mastering Crazydancing: 1. Let go, don't second guess yourself or think what everyone else is going to think. WHO CARES ANYWAYS??! 2. Try to make as big and ugly movements as possible 3. Have fun!
I bought a pair of extremely cool quilted pants and the most amazing sesame street Cookie Monster hoodie, they will come in need since we are expecting some extremely cooo-olddddd weather during next week. It's supposed be something like -10F!
It's St Lucy's day on Monday, or Santa Lucia/Pyhä Lucia as we say, she brings us the light with her candles to this mid-winter darkness. I would really use some of that light as of now. I'm so incrediply tired. ALL THE TIME. Luckily this will end in few weeks and we will be getting some sunlight! YAY

Here is also some reasons for a crisis: I've bought some FISH (?!?!??! tkjhktjbknb), cabbage casserole, rolls and detergent for clothes (which smells like americaaa)this week, WTF, I'm not that old, I'm not an adult......nooo.

Elämä on juhla! The perfect Monday! Seriously, workday was fun and I heard that we are gonna continue my contract, since Sweden dumped me :). AND then after some skillfull usage of Spotify I finally found something I've been searching for since last spring I left US: Rajaton with Lahti Symphony Orchestra Abba CD!!! ♥ That cd I associate with only good memories, actually some of my best memories! (: AND I had a clase de español today mmmm. AND (yes more! :o) I got 6,57 euros of tax refund, really can Monday get any better? I don't think so.
Last weekend I was at Tampere-city woohoo! We had a Christmas party with friends on Saturday night :). On Friday I got the swine flu shot, cause they had some leftovers and it was Friday, so we kinda got lucky there. Well I knew how it was gonna end, of course cause I had something planned. On Friday after the longest train ride on earth I got to Tampere (where the first comment from my mama was telling me how fatty I look, haha love you too mom!) and I almost didn't recognize my own home, cause it looked so cool! We baked a jäkälä-cake for the next day, and then I felt a little funny, I tried to go to bed, BUT no :( I couldn't sleep cause I was so cold. I slept probably 2h that night, I had a fever 102,1F (=38,8C). The next day I decided not to care about that, just took advil every few hours and went Christmas shopping etc. and I did go to the Christmas party that night, and we had oh so much fun! =))
Sunday was Finland's 92nd Independenceday, which I spent at a train AGAIN. Gotta love 'em!

Today's fact about life: Practically it doesn't get light at any point of the day now. I spend the whole day waiting when does the darkness end, but it never does. And I haven't seen the sun, lord knows in how long.

English test yesterday...ummm yeah, nothing to say about that :D my composition was predominantly BS'ing. But it's time to move on, new courses started today. I complitely froze at my swedish class today, it was such a flat out that it turned out to be HILARIOUS. haha And on top of that experience I had my very first spanish class for 1½ years! (straight to spanish 5, which turned out to be a pretty good place for me) I must say that I was ON FIRE! Me encanta español (: So I was a bit confused, I just had a swedish course which went well and I've been listening to LUGNA FAVORITER and reading kometen kommer etcetc. and yet have done NOTHING to develope or even maintain my oh-so-amazing (NOT) spanish skills. Maybe I've just lost the game with swedish for forever! Pero I'll always be able to tell you på svenska: "Pappa pappa frukosten är färdig" that phrase is good to keep in mind :D it could be useful.
The secret reinforcements, aka Vilma, has been helping our very own loft elf. A letter from a first grader: "Dear Loft Elf, could you please stop being so loud in the mornings with your exercises, since I fear our roof will fall in?" I was laughing my butt off while reading this, it had pretty good choice of words in finnish PLUS it was full of spelling errors (_every_single of the double consonants were missing) SO ENTERTAINING!!!! :D But yeah the kids have enjoyed the little surprise they get so much! (there is an advent calendar and each day one child from each class will get to go to the elf's nest to the loft, and it is quite an amazing experience for them, I will add pics some other day from there).
On Friday I shall travel to Tampere to a Christmas party and Finland's Independenceday party :) yay!

So I was at my deathbed, but came back alive! You can't get rid off me that easily..ha! (note A LITTLE exaggeration here)

Life also tries to dupe me by RAIN (WTF it's freaking November?!), a broken bicycle, a broken friend's bicycle, making me go late for english class 5 times in a row (how pathetic am I), an endless cough and exam week. BUT haha IN YOUR FACE LIFE, I'm more clever, and fished out my power-rubberboots and raincoat! And a moomin-shirt and had a moominmamma vaapukka-juice-party (:

I also made my very first cheesecake, which really wasn't a cheesecake since it didn't have any cheese in it. But it came out right and was delicious :D. Yesterday's high points were that I passed my maths final!! I was a bit worried since I hadn't done any homework whatsoever over this whole course (oops) and had cheated pretty much in every single problem we did in class.....(I know I'm a bad person and lazy etc but no can do). And at work we built a "nest" for the school's elf to the loft :))I'm excited and honored that I've been accepted to secretly help the school's elf now on christmastime, but shhhh don't tell anyone ;)!

OH MY GOSH it's the first Advent on Sunday?!! Where is the time going by so fast? :o I don't even have an advent calendar yet, and Tuesday is the first day!

-almost slept in my own bed, the percentage being 0. oops. but proximity to eachother creates heat 8)

So it was wonderful, once again :)

Looking at that picture I have no clue how on earth we all eight (8) fitted in that room at the same time, as far as I remember no one sat on the hamburger or anything...we are just skilled I guess. :D

Ps Paranormal activity scares the crap out of you, but otherwise is just a really bad movie, I wouldnt recommend it to anyone!

kolme muuta vuodenaikaa

Winter :(
On Monday I suddenly found myself making a little too close friendship with the road. Yeahhh my bicycling skills are phenomenal, well not to mention the road was A BIT icy. (and of course this little accident happened to have like 10 witnesses) And now it snowed almost 2 days in a row, and I was literally wading through the snowdrifts. Not cool.
Otherwise it's been good, I got to be a substitute for the first graders at work, and I've been pretty active, and English composition DONE, yay! (just 2 days late) hahah that reminded me, I somehow managed to be fashionably late today for work AND school 8) oops.

Dos dias hasta que KUORTANE track camp, uuu yea babes!!! And almost 4 day weekend, Friday being only 2½ hours and me taking the Momday off :) I'm exciteddddddd!

Today's funny fact: Timotimo lives in the Aleksis Kivi brotherhood 8)) (or was is a neighborhood?? well same difference :P)

I also had a very scary moment yesterday at a swimming hall! :o But I think I am awake now! I feel like I'm losing my English and for that reason I have an irresistible desire to speak it with someone!! Anyone? I am actually enjoying school tasks that I have, but I am still procrastinating with everything! How incongruous is that? Also the swine flu is finally here, lovely...FINGERS CROSSED, I don't wanna get it, not before Kuortane at least!

Note to myself: Do not ever again go out on November with just unos pantalones on.

Fall break constisted of: Tampere+good old friends+shopping+couple of crisis+operation Natasha and then running away from her+adventuring+eating way too much+sleeping way too much+not doing anything that was supposed to do. So that pretty much equals to tons of awesomenimity. I also got to feel the samekind of glee as Mikael Agricola back in his days, inventing a new kick ass finnish word!
